I just don’t understand why people keep stopping me to ask me this. Or ask me what my daughter is mixed with.
Why can’t we just be a “light” (which we are not light but I guess any skin tone that isn’t chocolate is light smh) with healthy hair 100% African Americans?
No our hair isn’t “nappy” dry brittle coarse whatever the fuck, & yes I wear a weave with MY hair out, so they can see my hair & its texture, but we’re still JUST black. I hate to hear “Oh she has GOOD hair what is she mixed with? & her skin tone is so nice she must be mixed,” when people speak on my daughter. & wtf is good hair. As long as you take care of your hair & its healthy you got good hair to me. But apparently good hair means “fine or soft hair.” & black comes in every fuckin skin tone you ignorant bastards. GTFO
This lady at Verizon kept asking me “what’s your nationality, what are you mixed with I know its not just black.” WHAT?? I kept saying that I was just black & she just kept going on “nooo noo no you’re not.” How the fuck are you gonna tell me what I am?
I was a little offended but I just laughed it off. That shit really annoys me. Just because a black woman doesn’t have the darkest of skin, or have really coarse hair does NOT automatically mean she has to be mixed. Shit man. I’d like to reiterate Blacks, African Americans whatever, come in all kinds of shades & people just don’t get that.
That is all
If this modeling thing goes through.
I’m going to ugly Kim Kardashian cry.
For like a week straight.
2013 already is looking nice. Wish me luck.
K bye.
